Hi everyone, Happy Tuesday! And for all my family, friends, and readers who are teachers, Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Instead of my usual posts, I’ve decided to try something new this month as a way to engage more with my readers.
So, like Elmo at the beginning of the year, I also want to check-in. How is everybody doing? How has 2024 been treating you? Is work going well? Have you been taking care of your physical and mental health? Are your current relationships still serving you well? Is there anything you need to get off your chest?
To get the conversation started, I’ll go first. Overall, I am doing pretty well, and 2024 has been pretty good. To be honest, I do have moments where I feel burnt out or have little to no motivation, but I found that reading and listening to music help get me out of that funk. My husband has been finding video games we can play together, I have been doing more things with my friend who lives the closest to me, and my family is going to be spending the weekend before my birthday at our house for an Art and Wine festival. I am super excited about this summer because one of my best friends is getting married and I hope to see more of my friends who live farther away. I also have a work conference coming up this week, so that will be fun.
